Youmacon Hotel View

This year’s Youmacon was probably the best we’ve had post-pandemic. It was insanely busy, and I got to hang out with a lot of friends that I wasn’t expecting to see. This is the view from our hotel room, looking right over the convention center.

I decided to take my digital camera along with my Nikon FM. I’m a bit out of practice with digital photography, but I think the experiences of shooting digital and shooting on film complement each other very well. This particular shot used a preset created by FujiXWeekly called Cine Teal, giving the city a really greenish cast and making it look like a David Fincher movie.
