The Anishinaabe special exhibit was a very pleasant surprise. We got lucky, and showed up just in time to see an Anishinaabe woman and her husband perform several classic american songs (think Elvis, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty) translated to the Anishinaabe language. A major theme of the performance was the inherent difficulties (and occasional absurdities) with translations—especially translations of literature. Afterward, we checked out the exhibit itself. Remember: Always go to the DIA.

The exhibit’s dim lighting was perfect for pushing the Acros film simulation to crazy high ISO levels. I ended up getting a few clean ones, but I liked this blurry one the best.
