Who Are You? What is this???

Hello! My name is Erik. nothing town is a little place for me to upload sounds and pictures. It’s also a place for me to practice writing, which is something I am terrible at and hate* doing.

SoundCloud sucks. Instagram is evil and terrible. Substack is supporting nazis or something?? Who knows? So I decided to just make my own thing, inspired by the days of web 1.0/2.0 personal websites. I am hoping for this to be more “digitally hygienic” than social media.

All music and sounds are available for download on their individual pages. Clicking on photos will link you to their full-resolution versions.

Feel free to use anything you find here for whatever purposes. All I ask is that you credit me and link back to this site if possible.

Technical Details

The site itself is made with Hugo and served through AWS Cloudfront. I’ve found Hugo to be a great tool for static site generation. I find that all too often, I’ll get infinitely absorbed into implementation details of a project. This setup is dead simple, and it allows me to focus purely on content generation.
